Recently concluded elections of Hockey India (HI) are the true picture in which all types of elections in India "so called largest & transparent democracy' in the world are being conducted.
Though, it does not matter much for general public who is winning or losing in elections but who can imagine the winning of an 83-year-old lady taking full advantage of being her seasoned politician with strong roots in the corrupt, totally biased/factionalized and family politics prevailing in the country.
A person who has nothing to do with hockey is defeating a person who has given his best half of his life to hockey. The present state of sports in the country in general and hockey (our national game) for which we were known at a time is well known to all of us.
People of political stature (like Pawars and Stokes) are controlling not only the administration of the country but every move including sports and the side effects are very clear in terms of prevalent corruption in the preparation to Common Wealth Games.
