The Queen’s Baton Relay 2010 Delhi visits symbol of love, Taj Mahal

The Queen’s Baton 2010 Delhi visited the world renowned Taj Mahal. The monument is a jewel amongst the Seven Wonders of the World and also the pride of India. The Queen’s Baton for Common wealth Games 2010 Delhi was proudly taken around the Taj Mahal complex absorbing the beauty of the seventeenth century mausoleum.

Situated on the banks of Yamuna, Taj Mahal is an absolute blend of Persian, Islamic and Indian architecture. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, it is considered the perfect symbol of love. The team did not miss a photo opportunity at the colossal structure.

The Queen’s Baton 2010 Delhi was received by various dignitaries amongst large crowd of people. Here the Queen’s Baton Relay was flagged off. International grappler and Arjuna Awardee Mr.Mukhtiyar Singh became the first Batonbearer of the day.
