CWG 2010 aftermath: The Kalmadi Sheila Blame game

No incident in recent times has received as much attention as the organization of the Common wealth Games 2010. Over quoting the price of items, using shoddy materials and general neglect were some of the few belongings Suresh Kalmadi was accused of $100 for Toilet paper? Surprising he thought someone would really buy that. After much hue and cry over the Commonwealth Games over the last few months; the opening ceremony effectively silenced all the bearers of bad tidings.

All those who viewed the opening ceremony will agree when we say that it was very well managed and organized to the last feature. The conduction of the games too did not disappoint; at least to the viewers. The whole world was abuzz with accusations of Kalmadi corruption hampering India’s chance at victory and probably chance to host another event of this stature. If you hoped to heave a sigh of relief that the games are done, then you would be greatly disappointed.

Kalmadi is back with yet another scandal and furor over Sheila Dikshit’s involvement and responsibility in the corruption blame. Frankly the Indian media too is to be blamed to a certain extent. Do we really need to know about who flung mud at whom? Kalmadi and Dikshit are at their flinging best with both parties pointing fingers at each other and refusing to take responsibility for the whole debacle.
