CWG 2010:Wrestler Geeta wins 14th gold for India

Wrestler Geeta won the first women's wrestling gold for India in the 55kg freestyle event to raise the hosts' gold tally to 14 in the Common wealth Games on Thursday. Geeta beat Emily Bensted of Australia in the final. Lovina Edward of Nigeria won the bronze in the event.

The hosts also got a silver in the 48 kg freestyle group in which Nirmala Devi lost her title round bout against Canadian challenger Carol Huynh. Suman Kundu added more medal for women wrestlers as she won the bronze in 63kg freestyle event.

Indian shooters Omkar Singh and Gurpreet Singh won gold in the men's 10-metre air pistol pairs event after Ronjon Sodhi added another medal for the hosts as he bagged silver in singles Double Trap shooting event which was won by England's Stevan Walton.
